I am currently at a resort in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) for a work event. As soon as our rooms were assigned to us, i knew – first things first! With multiple day and evening events over the next three days, I needed to unpack and feel ‘settled’, and the most important part of unpacking for me is toiletries and makeup (surprise surprise!)

My travel essentials this time were the following:

  • Dior BB cream (with SPF 20) for the day (Fair 002)
  • L’Oreal Infallible Foundation (evenings. Colour Sand 20)
  • Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer (Light Medium Neutral)
  • My kryptonite is BLUSH. I was telling a friend that picking which blushes to pack for travel is what imagine it is like for parents to pick a favourite child. I usually just layer my blushes so I want to keep all of them. Anyway – with a heavy heart – I shortlisted the Chanel cream blush (orange), NARS Dolce Vita (pink-plum), and the KIKO blush (peach)
  •  Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder to mattify
  • Kat Von D Tattoo liner (not shown because it lives in my handbag) and Charlotte Tilbury Rock n’ Kohl in Barbella Brown for the eyes

We also have some evening dinners and events planned, so for some evening drama, I brought along the Balm Mary Lou-Manizer highlighter, Chanel illusion D’ombre cream eyeshadow pot in Mirage, and the Burberry Effortless contour pen (detailed post on that here), as well as some Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder.

The Caudalie Beauty Elixir is an all-rounder. I use it after my skincare in the evening as a toner, or during the day to freshen up. (I might be addicted to the scent, sshhh!)

Need to rush. I have a sunset to view by the beach. #justsaying
