November Face/ Favourites

With the bi-polar weather in Dubai during November (it rained!), my skin has been acting up and not responding to my usual products the same way. My favourite Urban Decay Weightless Naked Concealer seemed very cakey and blush was going on patchy. My Kat Von D tattoo liner was also more watery than usual (maybe it’s running out?), and I wanted to switch up my makeup routine so here are the things that I have been loving together during November.

As my skin has been slightly more oily than usual, for the base, I have been using the L’Oreal Infallible Matte 24 hour foundation in 20 Sand. This gives great coverage and I have noticed that it helps blush and other products stay on longer.

However, I do feel like the foundation gives the face a flat-ish look, so I rediscovered my Clarins Instant Concealer for the under-eye and around the nose. This is almost fool-proof to use; just dot it on and pat/blend with the ring finger. The final effect is good coverage, but with a glowing undertone.

I set my face with the OH-SO-AMAZING Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Perfecting Powder which is sooo gorgeous to look at (more swooning here) and equally great to work with. It is so light that you almost forget that you’re wearing powder and then wonder later why your skin looks so good.

For the eyes, I have been switching it up between two eyeliners. The L’Oreal Super Liner which is super slim and easy to work with is the first. It goes on a perfect  black and stays on all day. The second is the Dream Blue liquid liner from Chanel’s Blue Rhythm de Chanel Collection (limited edition).  The applicator’s shape is a bit bulky and the brush is small so it makes it a little difficult to apply, but once it’s on, it looks beautiful and the colour (and metallic look) stays on for a good 8 hours, after which it starts to fade a little.

Here’s what it looks like.

Finally, for blush, I have been using a highlighter-blush hybrid (because I’m usually running late), and picking up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Dim Infusion. I would marry this blush (getting carried away here…) if I could.

For lips, my favourite has been MAC’s Syrup, and the Burberry ‘Kisses’ LipGloss in Nude Pink.

Here’s the final look with everything slapped on my face.

Have a great week! x
